{Cake Inspiration} Pretty Croquembouche with Spun Sugar

The historical French croquembouche with it’s majestic design and historical origins, will always come in and out of vogue for weddings. We’re seeing a bit of a comeback of late – just like this gorgeous creation from an equally stunning handmade Sydney wedding. I love how the over-the-top design is toned down by displaying it on a rustic-style timber log. And the use of spun sugar and teeny-tiny white flowers give it a magical and whimsical look – a lovely mix of organic, glam and pretty. I expect we will see more croquembouche’s inspired by this year’s glamorous wedding trend making an appearance.
