It’s another gorgeous week of wedding inspiration here at Love Wed Bliss with this elegant red and ivory vintage wedding style shoot by Jim Vetter Photography. It seems you can’t go wrong when you combine classic Audrey Hepburn style with vintage accessories and sophisticated tableware. Infuse a pop of red with a beautiful rose bouquet and you’ve got yourself one stunning vintage look.
Photographer Jim shares the inspiration: I love Amy-Jo Tatum’s classic designs which harken back to Audrey Hepburn days. These styles just seems so well suited to the deco feel of the Hotel Shattuck Plaza in Berkeley, California and it really turned out well with a great team of vendors. The ballroom set features the designs of Tamiko Garner of All Thing Simple and the lighting designs of DJ Jason Mitchell. They layered a contemporary finish onto the classic lines of the gorgeous Shattuck Ballroom. Laura Urbina and the rest of the Shattuck staff were a great pleasure to work with. The Bridal Suite settings were really driven by the beautiful interior designs of the suite provided by the Shattuck. If only every wedding day began in such a suite! The bedroom provided large windows and French doors by which to light our stunning bride. And of course the lavish king bed gave us the perfect way to complete the shoot.

Looking for some glamorous 1960s wedding inspiration? Well this fabulous dose of vintage eye candy I spotted on Love My Dress should pretty much do it and then some! The creative behind the vision is Swedish stylist Madelin Downey and her inspiration for this imaginative shoot was high society 60’s decadence meets rock n’ roll and French chic. Don’t know about you, but I’m totally lusting after the blue tulle gown!

Time for some vintage glam inspiration with this beautiful Gold Wedding Shoot from Douglas Thompson Photo. Styled by Dreamers and Heroes it captures the elegance and glamour of yesteryear all bathed in a soft golden glow. Shot within a 150 year old winery, it combines the rustic warmth of the timber and stone surrounds with the sophistication of a beautiful vintage table setting, antique furniture and gold plated glassware. I particularly love the gorgeous up-do hair style on the bride (perfect for a vintage glam theme or classical wedding), and the simplistic organic bouquet with it’s natural foliage and neutral tones – a wonderful contrast against all the opulence.
From Douglas Thompson Photo: The Golden Vintage Inspiration shoot shows vintage elements, such as miniature paintings, carnival glass, and antique furniture in contrast to non-traditional elements. The gold gown worn by the bride is the dress the designer, Cena Jane Designs, wore for her own wedding. The gorgeous gold highlights the bride, since she is after all, so very precious. Voila Floral’s bouquet does not contain traditional floral but rather organic, natural elements that accentuate the bride without competing with her. Each place setting has martini glasses instead of champagne glasses, and guests are greeted at their seats by a little touch of brandy and a hand-embroidered kerchief to catch those tears of joy.

ShopRuche is a gorgeous online store I recently fell in love with for many reasons. First, because their site is dripping with gorgeous images and inspiring quotes (you can never get enough eye candy I say!). Second, because not only do they offer fabulous vintage outfits but they have eco-friendly and plus-size curvy options as well. And lastly, because the team behind the label genuinely appear to have heart and soul. What you will find at ShopRuche is a ‘vintage inspired boutique with a modern touch’ offering new and fashion forward pieces inspired by vintage style. They operate out of California; however, they conveniently ship to practically everywhere around the world (yay for that!). Feast your eyes on these beautiful images from their Look Book, as well as my picks of the pretty wallpapers you can download for free.
