From the Photographer
I have memorized Corinthians 13:4-8, also known as “Love is Patient.” In fact, I have memorized many of the wedding prayers, poems, and sayings because of the number of weddings I’ve photographed. Never had a heard a more beautiful and meaningful reading than Kori and Filly’s wedding, when their ceremony was in Spanish. I minored in Spanish, and hearing the words to prayers and poems I’ve heard numerous times brought new meaning to the beautiful words. In many ways, Kori and Filly reflect the poem. They are patient and kind … and they know and understand the true meaning of family, friends, and most importantly, love.

Gorgeous bride – check. Pretty flowers – check. Sweet styling – check. A couple madly in love – double, triple check! All bundled together in this beautiful Bald Head Island wedding by Anne Liles Photography. Far from the hustle and bustle of the city, located alongside a sleepy beach this North Carolina soiree honestly feels like you’re coming home. To a blissfully sweet and pretty home that is!
From the photographer:
Michelle and Preston were wed at the Village Chapel of Bald Head Island and held their reception at Shoal’s Club, Bald Head Island NC. It’s a destination off the coast of Southport, NC a sleepy town at the mouth of The Cape Fear River.
You must take a boat to get to the island and there are no cars, only golf carts for transportation. It’s off the beaten path and provides folks with a comforting sense of ‘leaving it all behind’. Michelle’s family owns a home on the island, and it was her number one choice in places for she and Preston to host their guests for their lovely fall wedding on the island. It was a wonderful celebration to be a part of.
Today’s wedding embraces all the elegance an elegant affair should bestow … the vows, the dress, the bridesmaids, the accessories … and the decor … in fact, everything! With a sophisticated palette of silver and pink, this gorgeous event held at The Villa Parker Event Center in Colorado is text book loveliness at it’s best! Thanks to Gray Photography by Jeff and Jewels we have an album of pretty pictures to transport us there!
From the bride Shauna: Jeff and Jewels were great to work with. They made my husband and I feel so special prior to and during our wedding. Every bride wants to feel like a princess on her wedding day, and they definitely made me feel like one. I love my photos and will cherish them forever. They did a great job telling the story of our wedding by capturing all the little details.
From the photographer: Like many of our clients, Shauna and Ben were one of those couples that we just clicked with right away. The more and more we got talking, the more we couldn’t wait until their wedding day! The Villa Parker is such a beautiful place to have your wedding – from a photographers stand point, it’s gorgeous. Lots of great places to take photos, and the lighting was impeccable. A June wedding at the Villa Parker on the most perfect of evenings…we hope you love these photos as much as we do!

We all love a romantic love story especially when it involves the chance meeting of two hearts from completely opposite sides of the globe. Katherine Salvatori captured this beautiful multicultural and traditional Chicago wedding and shares with us below how this Italian boy came to meet and fall in love with his all American girl.
From the Photographer: Jennifer and Nino’s love story is a pretty amazing one (and one that most girls .only dream of). Nino grew up and lived in Milan, Italy, and Jennifer grew up in Glen Ellyn, IL. Jennifer went to Milan to teach English and met Nino, but was very wary to start a relationship. As her father recalled at the reception, she said “Dad, I met a guy, but don’t worry, it’s not like I’m going to marry him or anything.” Nino had to work hard to get Jenny, and that started with their first date being a coffee date. In the middle of the day. Jenny wanted to make sure that he was serious about respecting her. Over the course of the next few years that Jenny lived in Italy, her and Nino realized that they couldn’t live life without one another. Which lead us up to the wedding. The two got married in downtown Chicago at Our Lady of Pompeii, and Nino’s entire family from Italy flew in for the event. The ceremony was done in Italian and English, and our day as photographers started with Nino’s family greeting us with big hugs and asking to take pictures with us. Totally a loving family (and totally Italian!). This was an amazing day to be a part of, and it only got better as we walked the 3 blocks taking Jenny and Nino’s couple portraits in downtown Chicago to their reception at Francesca’s on Taylor street. This was no normal reception either. This was a 5 course meal filled with laughter, dancing and lots of love. The picture of the olive oil bottle shows the special touches as Nino’s family makes olive oil for their business and gave them as a gift from Italy for each table. I hope you love this multi-cultural wedding (with its Chicago flair) as much as I do.
