Enjoying a relaxing Sunday and some lovely weekend weather? Well, hold on because your day is about to get a whole lot more LOVELY! This Victorian inspired bridal shoot by Alexia Wardell Photography was originally created for a cake company, but with two gorgeous sisters modelling their own wedding gowns, it soon became a beautiful garden bridal session. With pretty vintage styling, Victorian style gowns and some amazing glam makeup, it truly it is overflowing with pretty!Victorian Inspired Bridal MakeupVictorian Inspired BridalVictorian Inspired Garden Wedding PropsVictorian Inspired Bridal IdeasVictorian Inspired CupcakesVictorian Inspired Wedding CakeVictorian Inspired Garden Wedding ShootVictorian Inspired Bridal GownVictorian Inspired Bridal Shoot

From the photographer: This shoot was put together for a new cake company to feature in a Bridal show. It ended up being a fantastic experience. We used two models who are sisters and have been married for 6 years. Both of the girls got to put their own wedding dresses back on and feel like princesses for the day. Afterwards they told us ‘it was the most fun they had had in a long time.’  They were able to relive their wedding day all over again, only this time without the stress. They also loved how they got to enjoy the experience together. Because of this shoot, we have decided to start offering “group” Bridal sessions, not only for newlyweds, but also for those who have been married for quite some time.

Steampunk Wedding Theme

Let’s just start by saying this steampunk wedding theme is awesome.  With it’s amazing images by AK Photography and edgy punk style, I’m seriously taken back. Then there’s the oh-so-cool zepplin stationery by DesignMissoula, the eye-catching copper elements and the quirky mismatched decor. Really, there isn’t a detail in this crazy cool inspiration shoot that isn’t totally brilliant.

From the photographer: This styled wedding shoot marries the classic elements of Steampunk and Montana (the last best place). Montana was the greatest copper producer in the world during the 1880s. The mining of this metal left it’s mark on Montana’s history. Today you can find copper relics in any second-hand store across the state. Montana is also rich with sage grasses and lavender. Along with the natural elements of Montana, the theme of Steampunk was supported by the rock and roll styling of the models, the zepplin based invitations and the copper table runner and western/punk decor. And of course, we had to include a get away car tied off with Pabst Blue Ribbon tall boys (a Montana favorite).

1920s Style Engagement Shoot by Rennard Photography

Hold on to your hat’s lovelies, because you’re about to be blown away! This 1920s style engagement shoot delivers nothing short of ‘wow’ appeal. Captured by the talented Rennard Photography it’s a editorial style love affair with a stunning vintage glam theme, a real engaged couple (who totally rock the 20’s era) and wait for it….not one, but two 1920s vintage airplanes which, my lovely people, are the real deal. I’m still picking my jaw off the floor from the AMAZING kiss on the runway shot! Check it out and you’ll understand!

From the photographer: Chad and Melissa met at a training meeting that Chad was training Melissa for. She felt those butterflies in her stomach and they did not seem to want to go away. The demo was complete and the lesson drifted into great conversation. They talked about the weather, Canada, travel and other various topics. After a few minutes they noticed that they were the only ones left in the conference room. Later that afternoon, she received an email from Chad. It read, “Hey there Melissa… Wanted to make sure you had my email address just in case you had any additional questions while you get acclimated to the new sales tool… Happy to help…” She knew that this email was not just an ordinary email. It was Chad’s attempt to pass on his contact information. Her heart skipped a beat and stirred up those butterflies. Their engagement session was inspired by the couples love for the 1920’s. Chad is a pilot and had a friend who owned this unique plane that only two of it’s kind exist in the world.

Marie Antoinette Inspired Photoshoot by Christina Gressianu

Decadence and opulence are words which immediately come to mind when I think of Marie Antoinette. This teenage French Queen – famous for her beauty and expensive lifestyle – has today become a symbol of wanton extravagance inspiring artists from all over the world. Just like this fabulous team headed up by creative photographer Christina Gressianu. Filled to the brim with gold embellishments, Victorian styling and a gorgeous array of cakes, this Marie Antoinette photoshoot is the epitome of over-the-top beauty and definitely fit for a princess!

From Christina: Living in Colorado from New York City, I occasionally crave the opulence I frequently brushed up against there. While the nature here is magnificent, early this year I began having ideas about a girl surrounded by wealth, gold and frills. A girl who was completely unimpressed with the grandeur around her. And so I thought of Marie Antoinette. In the height of Versailles’ wealth, she preferred to play in the grass with her dogs. This series of photographs came from that vision in my mind, and from a desire to make the pictures I saw in my head real in the world. I feel deep gratitude for the amazing team who worked with me to bring the Marie in my mind out to Fort Collins! I am so fortunate these talented people were inspired by my ideas. They went above and beyond anything I could have expected. Thank you.

Pillow Fight Engagement Session by The Bird & The Bear Photography & Film

Pillow Fight E Session

A couple that can forget about the cameras and have a ton of fun during their engagement session, not to mention an all out pillow fight, is just the ‘bees knees’ as far as I’m concerned. This sweet duo (Jen and Robbie) grew up together in Texas. Robbie proposed while on a ski trip in the snow, so they decided to recreate the winter white atmosphere again with a E session in their hometown of Texas! The Bird & The Bear – Photography & Film did an awesome job putting together a beautiful shoot (and super cute video you can view below) which ended up in a massive pillow fight and a whirlwind of fluffy white feathers! If this fun-loving session is anything to go by, then you can bet that their wedding (and marriage for that matter) will be one memorable occasion!

Green and Orange Wedding Ideas

I love the colour green for a fresh classic wedding palette, and I also love a modern wedding palette with bright pops of orange. But it’s rare you see this combination paired together for a wedding. That is until this imaginative team decided to create this vibrant shoot. Inspired by this year’s wedding colours (tangerine tango and emerald), they created a vibrant inspiration shoot with a rustic Spring theme. You’ll find it full of whimsical green and orange wedding ideas as well as some simple table centrepieces you could easily DIY. So, whether your a fan of a bold bright palettes or subtle and pastel shades, you’re bound to find some inspiration you’ll love.
