So, what better way to capture the memories than with a anniversary photo session. From the photographer:

Serena + Austin celebrated 5 years of marriage with an oh-so-THEM session at the NC Museam of the Arts in Raleigh, NC. I have photographed Serena and Austin for a few years now and they always come up with the coolest ideas for their anniversary shoots! We’ve photographed in a soda shop, in a dark upstairs of a downtown storefront and now at the Raleigh Museum of the Arts to celebrate 5 years married! This location was by far my favorite and is SO a representation of this eclectic couple. I couldn’t adore Serena’s pink hair and comic book dress (from Modcloth), paired with Austin’s dapper smile and handsome bow tie more. I can’t WAIT to see what they come up with next year.

Steampunk Wedding Theme

Let’s just start by saying this steampunk wedding theme is awesome.  With it’s amazing images by AK Photography and edgy punk style, I’m seriously taken back. Then there’s the oh-so-cool zepplin stationery by DesignMissoula, the eye-catching copper elements and the quirky mismatched decor. Really, there isn’t a detail in this crazy cool inspiration shoot that isn’t totally brilliant.

From the photographer: This styled wedding shoot marries the classic elements of Steampunk and Montana (the last best place). Montana was the greatest copper producer in the world during the 1880s. The mining of this metal left it’s mark on Montana’s history. Today you can find copper relics in any second-hand store across the state. Montana is also rich with sage grasses and lavender. Along with the natural elements of Montana, the theme of Steampunk was supported by the rock and roll styling of the models, the zepplin based invitations and the copper table runner and western/punk decor. And of course, we had to include a get away car tied off with Pabst Blue Ribbon tall boys (a Montana favorite).

Alternative Wedding in San Francisco by Harper Point Photography

I have a fabulous alternative wedding to share today. One with not only a unique story, but also a great offbeat vibe and plenty of quirky styling. So without further adieu, let me share with you this awesome couple’s story:

Alternative Wedding in San FranciscoOnce upon a time there were two creative spirits destined to fall in love. Kim, an artist and floral designer, who grew up in St Helena and lived in San Francisco and David, a technology entrepreneur, who travelled back and forth regularly to San Fran all the way from his hometown of Adelaide in South Australia. The pair were friends for 3 and a half years before David moved permanently to San Francisco. That is when they finally succumbed to their beating hearts and let themselves fall in love. The lovebirds planned a barn wedding in the Napa vineyards for September 2011, however were soon forced to speed things up to keep immigration at bay. So they married at San Francisco City Hall in February instead. Once September came, they got to celebrate their wedding once more with friends and family from all over the globe over a feast of succulent roast lamb. A couple of days later Kim and David were lucky enough to experience getting married a third time! They decided to retrace their steps to City Hall and beyond, whilst Harper Point Photography captured the story in a wonderful styled shoot.

Well, you couldn’t ask for a better tale and we couldn’t ask for anymore than these awesome images. Oh! and BTW… the gorgeous couple lived happily ever after!
