Hi lovelies! It’s a wonderful Thursday morning and I’m excited to announce our brand new guest blogger to join the LWB family – lovely Haydee from Sweetest Celebrations. You’ll be pleased to note Haydee is not only obsessed with all things weddings, but she also just happens to be a wedding co-ordinator (handy girl to have around I say!) Just like us, there’s nothing she loves more than immersing herself in some serious pretty – and lucky for us she will be sharing plenty of pretty inspiration on LWB every month. So, give a warm welcome to Haydee, and enjoy her first gorgeous feature, then be sure to pop over to her pretty website to see how she can make your special day come to life!
Lately, I’ve been inspired by Paris – the city of romance, soft ruffles and glamorous chandeliers. I picture a wedding adorned with sweet details in shades of ivory and pink, accented with touches of black here and there. This inspiration board features a Parisian Chic wedding theme, with traditional items such as vintage teacups and upholstered wing back chairs balanced with modern touches like black crystal accents and pink ruffles. A nice finishing touch would be to have chandeliers everywhere – to cast a soft mood for the ceremony and then to also liven up the table decor on a smaller scale. French macaroons create the perfect finale adding another element of French elegance to your wedding theme. I think this style of inspiration would add a touch of romance and glamour to any wedding.
Haydee Duarte is the owner of Sweetest Celebrations, a boutique event styling and coordination business in South Florida. Sweetest Celebrations styles your entire wedding experience – everything from the engagement session right through to wedding decor – and is passionate about infusing soft and romantic details into a couple’s special day, with a touch of modern glamour. Some may call it ‘The City of Lights‘ but I prefer to call Paris ‘The City of Love! Overflowing with history, romance and beauty, it’s a lover’s oasis filled with magic, and a romantic overload for the senses. It also holds a special place in the heart of this gorgeous duo Lindsay and Robert. Robert proposed to Lindsay in Paris and after their Summer wedding in Spain, decided it was the perfect place for their honeymoon – and we couldn’t agree more! With a collection of stunning photos by Keith Pitts Photography, these two honeymooners have created a ‘French Connection‘ they will never forget!
From the photographer: Lindsay and Robert are an American couple who were married in Spain this summer and decided to honeymoon in Paris this July. Paris was a special place for them as it was the spot where Robert proposed. Here it is in his own words: “The culmination of ring hiding and nervous secrecy came to fruition in the early hours of January 1, 2012. Along the banks of the Seine, overlooking the Eiffel Tower, I proposed to Lindsay, and to my great joy, she said yes. As I grasped for the ring in my jacket pocket, only hours after we brought in the new year, I had the feeling that I can only describe as the one you feel just before you get on a roller coaster: I knew that there was no turning back. I’ve known for a long time that Lindsay was the one for me, but to go through the process of actually proposing was as nerve racking as anything I’ve every done. When she said yes, all the shaky emotions of anxiety and worry were replaced by feelings of harmony, well being and especially love. I am so happy to be able to say that Lindsay will be my wife and that we will forever be connected for the rest of our lives.”
