I’m delighted to share with you this morning a stunning wedding inspiration shoot from Live View Studios. Inspired by Vera Wang’s fragrance Lovestruck it encapsulates the idea of feeling totally in love and being swept away with beauty and emotion. I adore all the soft pink ombre tones which deepen into a palette of fuschia pinks, mauves and purples. The sparkly details and silver decor that give the whole vintage look an element of glamour. And I know you’ll be smitten with the divine ombre wedding cake by Frosted Bliss Cakes and the to-die-for hairpiece from Petals by KC. Be prepared to be hit by the love-bug ladies!
Photographers Brent & Anna share the inspiration: Our inspiration for the shoot came from seeing a Vera Wang Lovestruck perfume ad, and the falling petals photo is reminiscent of a scene in the commercial where Leighton Meester throws a bouquet from the balcony while she passionately embraces her love. Ombre arranged florals and a ruffled ombre cake, antique jewelry and an old pocket watch, a bold yet soft flower hair piece on the bride, and accents of glitter, silver, and sparkle are some of the unique details from the shoot, and our goal was for the feeling overall to be one of passion and vibrancy, much like the feeling of being lovestruck. This was a big undertaking, and we could not have done it without all of the help of the wedding vendors who contributed to the shoot. Some of the unique elements for this styled shoot was the use of antique jewelry, including an 80+ year old pocket watch, sparkly DIY favor boxes, raspberry champagne, and the oversized custom floral headpiece, unique guestbook idea, an ombre sparkly cake, and custom cake pops designed for the event with miniature flowers. We wanted it to sparkle and glitter, and everything did just that!

Up next is one for all the mountain loving and vintage loving brides from Starshine Photography. We take you to the breathtaking Rocky Mountains whilst immersed in the glamour of old Hollywood style. Eva and Jay tied the knot in one of the most magnificent backdrops you’ve ever seen. With just a handful of family and friends, they shared a beautiful intimate ceremony in Jasper National Park with towering trees, emerald green waters and the amazing Canadian Rockies as their wedding canopy. But if you think this spectacular location will make you fall head over heels, then Eva’s vintage style will definitely want to make you do back flips. Perfectly emulating the style of a 1930’s screen goddess with feather headpiece, deep red rose bouquet and crystal jewels, she could easily be mistaken for likes of Jean Harlow or Greta Garbo. It’s a glamorous pairing of Hollywood chic and Mother Nature’s elite with this superbly elegant vintage love affair.
From the Photographer: Eva and Jay had been engaged for a long time and finally decided to tie the knot in Jasper before Jay went back to war. He is in the Canadian military and is currently on a one year mission. They had a vintage Hollywood wedding set in the beautiful rocky mountains in Jasper National Park. It was an amazing way to spend Canada Day (their dating anniversary). The bride’s dress and most decorations were handmade or bought on Kijiji.
