This is one of those affairs where every perfect detail you dream of is beautifully weaved together in one fabulous destination wedding. Where the stunning bride dons an equally stunning Pronovais gown and elegance meets a modern classic theme against a backdrop of stark white sands, surf and blue skies at the gorgeous LaPlaya Beach Resort in Naples Florida. This, my friends, is what we’re calling a “serious dose of pretty” and you can see every lovely moment captured by Tonya Malay right below.
From the photographer:
Victoria and Tim are from Surry, England and traveled with their closest friends and family to the LaPlaya Beach Resort in Naples, Florida. Victoria’s parents are part time residents in the Naples area, spending half the year in Florida and the other half in England. Victoria and Tim absolutely love the beach, and not only did their ceremony on the beach at LaPlaya, but also had their dinner reception beachside on the lawn. Reverend Wayne Salter performed their lovely ceremony. Victoria’s dress was designed by Pronovais and she found her gown at Harrods in Knightsbridge, London. Rythm Trail provided both their ceremony and reception music. Floral Encores provided their gorgeous flowers, and Ella’s Cakes created their lovely wedding cake. The guests had a blast with the photobooth provided by Bash Booths. Victoria’s father, Roger, restores cars for a living at Naples Hotrods and Exotics, so needless to say Victoria and Tim had a great time posing with Roger’s latest restoration, a vintage 1933 Dodge Sedan.

I love it when something a little different lands on my desk. It always ramps up the excitement for this little wedding blogger and makes my job even more fabulous. This striking Florida engagement session by FCN Photography is vibrant, modern and wonderfully unique. Typically, engagement shoots focus on capturing the sunshine outdoors, but this e-session is all about showcasing the couple’s awesome reception venue – the stylish Mansion Night Club in South Beach Miami. Now, I realize a night club is not your run-of-the-mill choice for a wedding, but when you bring together a creative Web Designer and gorgeous Ballet Dancer this stylish upbeat venue makes plenty of sense. Congrats, Alex and Stephanie we applaud your funky unique style.
E-session details from the Photographer: Alex Miranda is CEO of The Creative Complex, a web design and marketing company in Miami. He always thrives to be out there and different, the talk of the town. He proposed to Stephanie at the finale dinner for his charity weekend fundraiser in support of Jose’s Hands. Most girlfriends usually see it coming, but not with Alex, because he waited until that moment to say “I Love You” to Stephanie. When thinking about where to hold the reception they wanted something different, and oh boy was it different. The reception was held at Mansion Nightclub in South Beach Florida. The ceilings were draped with sheer fabric and the beautiful chandeliers that already hang inside Mansion were a perfect asset. To showcase the reception venue, we decided to have the engagement session there too. The venue was ours for about an hour so we were hustling and bustling to get the magic done. After a day of shooting at Tree Tops park for a whimsical setting and then the final session at Mansion, we were able to capture their lives perfectly. Stephanie is a ballet dancer and school teacher and Alex has worked with the nightlife industry for many years, they are complete opposites but alike in so many ways.

I have to admit, I have a soft spot for beach weddings. So whenever a romantic sunset affair, such as this Florida wedding crosses my path, I just to have to give it bragging rights. This stylish wedding on the sandy shores of Islamorada, has just the right mix of a relaxed ocean vibe with sophisticated touches to keep it on the elegant side of ‘beach beautiful.’ Plus, there are so many handcrafted details to love, such as the sand-filled glass bottle invitations wrapped in burlap, a handcrafted ceremony arch made from natural bamboo and sheer white fabric and the perfect oceanside touches of orchids and starfish. Then, to top it off, the tropical reception tablescapes with mini calla lillies, colorful Mokara orchids and real goldfish in glass bowls, will have you dreaming of your own personal beach paradise for hours.
