Inspired by the notorious bank-robbing duo Bonnie and Clyde, this romantic engagement session encompasses all the gorgeous vintage style of the 1930s, all crafted into one stunning shoot of the gangster kind. We are talking vintage guns, a family pick-up truck and fabulous thirties inspired fashion, all brought together in a classic ghost town to create the perfect outlaw atmosphere. Le Boudoir Studio is responsible for bringing this infamous pair back to life and every stunning image is tempting us with it’s steal-worthy details.
Who doesn’t love the most romantic movie of this generation – The Notebook. It’s the type of love flick which, if you’re a hopeless romantic like myself, has your tearing up as soon as the soundtrack starts. Well, like so many, this adorable Kentucky couple were inspired by the film and decided to use it as the theme for their engagement shoot. With lovely photos by The Click Chic Photography, a charming historic country town for an authentic looking location, and 1940’s vintage inspired clothing, it’s a engaging little love shoot which takes us on a sweet stroll down memory lane..
From the photographer: In styling Jen & John’s engagement shoot to compliment their Hollywood-glam inspired wedding, we looked to one of the great Hollywood loves stories of our time, ‘The Notebook’. Luckily we were close to a historic small downtown that lent itself to the perfect backdrop. Jen channeled vintage romance with a 40s-style dress and pumps and red croc clutch and John kept it simple in a white button-down shirt and khakis. Pops of crimson in the details helped make this shoot cohesive and incorporate their wedding colors.
There is so much love and sweetness emanating from each and every image in this lovely Laguna Beach e session it makes you feel warm and fuzzy all over. This adorable couple not only showed how much fun they can have together, hamming it up with a cute chalk scene and hitting the kiddies playground; but they also showed the romantic intimate bond they share as they strolled along the beach and only had eyes for each other. Thanks Jodi B Photography for sharing with us the California love!
From the photographer: Alex and Lorie let me play with them!! I got to create a CHALK scene and posed them laying down on the ground as I ran up the stairs to do an aerial shot! It was so fun! He’s a traditional southern gentleman, cowboy boots and all…and she’s a sweet Southern belle! Love these two! Check out his boots! We ran around town in Laguna Beach, and ended with some sweet beach scenes.

A day at the Amusement Park is an all out magic maker when it comes to a fun shoot. Add to that the spark of a new engagement and you instantly have a healthy dose of romance emanating through the session. We are always suckers for a romantic love shoot and these beautiful images by Ella Photography straight from the magical city of Montreal are a great way to kick start our week.
I’m sure this LA couple had no idea their photographer was with them, because so many pictures in this amazing shoot made me feel I had crept up on them and spied on a private loving moment. The love and intimacy between these two radiates off the page – and I’m sure Montrous Joy‘s magical touch had a lot to do with it. With a beautiful girl the camera just gobbles up, her adorable man who never leaves her side, and the wonderful city of LA for their eclectic backdrop, this modern engagement session is ever so cool, classy and captivating.
Jhovany from Monstrous Joy shares: This was a super fun engagement session with two extroverts! The lovely couple recently moved from Louisiana to LA and loves living here. They fit in just fine! We were originally inspired by mid century architecture – The Bradbury Building and The Hollyhock House by Frank Lloyd Wright – all incredible backdrops. So we decided to keep their wardrobe fresh and modern in contrast with the sometimes modernist lines of these places. I wanted to really focus on their interactions and love for one another to really make the session stand out. Hope you love it!
We certainly do! Thank you Jhovany!
