We just adore unforgettable engagement sessions, and this Noosa love shoot from Trigger Happy Images happens to be downright amazing! Gorgeous couple Tegan and Jordan captured their romance not just with a pretty picnic setting, lounging in the sun, and listening to the strum of a guitar. But they hit the jackpot by including a stroll along the breathtaking headland with the sun setting no less! Luckily for us (and you), the talented folks at Trigger Happy were happy to share…
From the bride-to-be:
Jordan and I met 19 years ago in ‘Year One’. Despite showing very little interest in me at the time, he managed to make a lasting impression on me as i can clearly remember from my primary school days thinking that i wanted to marry someone like Jordan when i grow up. It wasn’t until i left that particular school and some 11 years after that, that we crossed paths again at church. It was only then that he took an interest and finally asked me out (i’d been waiting for quite some time!).
For our one year anniversary we decided to celebrate by spending the weekend in Noosa. Little did I know that there was soon to be more reason to celebrate! Jordan had organised a picnic by the bay, where he popped the question. We wanted to keep our engagement relaxed and true to us – acoustic tunes over a picnic by the sea, much like the day Jordan proposed. We are counting down the days until we say the ‘I dos’ at the most beautiful property in the Byron Hinterland in the presence of our closest friends and family. We have loved every second of our journey together over the last 2 years, so much in fact we’ve been inspired to create Roost Film Co, a boutique film house specialising in short cinematic films to capture life’s special moments! http://vimeo.com/roostfilmco
From the photographers:
We spent one perfect afternoon with Tegan & Jordan, capturing the love, down at Fingal Headland in Northern NSW. The conditions were perfect: gorgeous people, stunning light, gorgeous location, a picnic, sparklers, party poppers and champagne. We couldn’t ask for better. We ended up spending over 2 hours with these guys and we think the images really show. No one was rushing, we were all just relaxed and having fun!

With crystal blue waters and a romantic sailboat as their inspiration, this captivating couple decided on a gorgeous sailing theme for their engagement session. We love everything about this fab shoot – from the nautical details, to their sunset stroll on the beach, to the absolutely STUNNING engagement ring. Add in some gorgeous images by Studio Sequoia, and well, we agree they can ‘sail away with me’ anytime!
From the photographer: When we got the call from Jackie and Chris saying they wanted to do an over-the-top engagement session on a sailboat, we just about lost out minds with excitement… then we met them and the first thing that flashed through my mind was, “holy moly, they’re GORGEOUS!” And SO IN LOVE!!! From the moment we came upon them readying their sailboat to the very last sip of champagne on the beach, their spark of passion and true intimacy just overwhelmed us. From San Diego Bay to Coronado beach, we’ve fallen head over heels for this couple.

You’re bound to love this little gem of an e session from Jonathon David Photographers. Wendy and Aaron’s oh-so-cute love shoot takes place in a heritage schoolhouse where they got to go back in time and play big kids together. An engagement shoot as adorable as this always gets a big tick in my book. School’s out class!
Bride-to-be Wendy shares: Aaron and I met rock climbing on Bishop’s Peak in San Luis Obispo. We both love nature, so outdoor engagement photos were an obvious choice. One less obvious thing about us, is the goofy streak Aaron and I have in common. We decided to play off of our silly personalities by doing part of the shoot in a historic one room school house. I am a teacher at an outdoor school, so the idea fit us perfectly. We sure had fun acting like over-sized kids. We added details with the chalk and blackboard, before we headed over to the pond on the school property! Because we love nature and the outdoors so much we decided to take a small boat out on the water.

It goes without saying that we love, love, love weddings here at Love Wed Bliss. But we must confess that when a engagement shoot lands in our laps, which so happens to be styled to perfection, we break out in swooning fit that we would usually reserve for the prettiest of sweet I do’s. So what better way to kick start 2013 than with this swoon-worthy love shoot captured by Katy Hall Photography. The gorgeous Kayla and Josh stole our hearts immediately – with their cool Anthropologie style, picnic engagement session and amazing blue eyes …. so much so, we have no doubt they will run away with your hearts too!
From Kayla: Josh and I met my first night at college in Winona State at a friend’s house and continued bumping into each other through mutual friends and an organization on campus. We first began hanging out with each other because of our mutual interest in the TV show LOST, watching episodes at his house for a study break (or procrastination). I knew he must really like me when I got Swine Flu that semester and he still hung out with me when I was feeling pretty sick! The proposal – There are some really cool bluffs in Winona and a lookout over the whole town from one called Garvin Heights. Some of my friends brought me up there one night and down a little path lit with candles he was waiting with chocolate covered strawberries and my favorite food – cupcakes! A friend filmed the whole thing. My favorite part of the whole story is that’s where my dad proposed to my mom.
From photographer Katy Hall: I choose Tamarck Reserves for their setting because it offered a beautiful organic feel to the first part of their shoot. Kayla and Josh are very stylish, but very simple and real and I wanted their love and fun spirits to shine through. We then went to Otter Lake to bring their adventurous spirit to the shoot. They love anything that allows them to have fun together and is out of the ordinary. Their big day is July 6, 2013. They are getting married at an amazing venue – the Mayowood Stone Barn. I am already counting the days, because this wedding is going to be the icing on the cake to this session!

You know it’s a sure sign warm weather is around the corner when you see a happy carnival-style engagement session like this one. This cute pair decided to celebrate their engagement with a shoot at the Royal Easter Show in Auckland, where there’s no shortage of colourful backdrops to feast your eyes on! We totally love their fun vibe and relaxed style in front of the camera. In fact, we’re not sure who may have had more fun at this e session – the lovebirds or Coralee & Alex (who snapped all their gorgeous pics). Judging by this, their wedding will be awesome and you’ll never guess what theme they’re going with? …. a carnival wedding theme of course!
From the photographer: Courtney and Cori are a treat! When Courtney emailed us and suggested we do their engagement session at The Royal Easter Show, we thought it was a freaking awesome idea! After a couple of coffees to fuel up, we hit the show late Easter Monday when the light was low and (hopefully) the crowds had died down a bit (they hadn’t). As an added bonus they reduced the entry fee to $10 (from what used to be a whopping $50…..or something ridiculous like that!).
Courtney and Cori are hands down the cutest, most ridiculously bubbly, friendly, awesome and completely head-over-heels-in-love with each other people, we’ve ever met. The kind of people that when you meet, you never want to say goodbye to at the end of the shoot, ’cause you just want to go and hang with them some more.
In-between gobbling down candy apples, hot-dogs and candy floss, we managed a few laps and photographed the playful couple amongst the carnival rides. As the sun dipped behind the Super Loop we enjoyed way too many Lil’ Orbits donuts before we said farewell. But never fear, in true Courts & Cori style, these two will be having……you guessed it…..a CARNIVAL themed wedding next year. As we strolled around the Easter Show, Courtney excitedly pointed out all of the rides they had booked to be at their wedding! Yup, fun-park rides at a wedding! Can’t wait. Courts and Cori, congratulations on your engagement! Quite possibly the cutest couple….EVER.

I’m seriously in love with this couple! From the very first precious photo by Emily Davis Photography, you can tell that they are head-over-heels in love with one another! They’re just too cute for words! In fact, everything about their Texas engagement session is totally heavenly…. the beautiful natural light, their sweet loving poses and the cute quilted tent creating their own little love haven. Ahhh, yes… I don’t know about you guys, but I can’t wait to see their gorgeous wedding here sometime real soon.

Welcome to another fab week at LWB my lovely country bumpkins. It’s time to take your seats, cos this might be the best farm engagement session EVER. Snapped to perfection by Litrato Studio, this boot-scootin e session at Riverdale Farm in Ontario Canada is full of sweet rustic charm, baskets of fresh farm eggs, and an engaged couple completely in love, who happen to be the real deal. Now that’s a combo sure to put a smile on your country-lovin dial!
From the photographer: Finally spring is here and we’re so excited to go out and shoot. We loved the idea to shoot on a Farm. Luckily we found one! The shoot was held on Riverdale Farm, in the heart of downtown Cabbagetown Toronto. It represents a rural farm in Ontario. We were so blessed because the weather was perfect. Not too hot, not too cold, and everything was bright and sunny. It was so delightful to feel the spring breeze once we were on the farm. Flowers were blooming on the side walk, the grass was so fresh and the children had a fabulous time watching the animals. We then went looking for details to enhance the shoot – like rustic farm items (e.g. pale and sprinkling can, eggs, baskets etc). We brought some tulips and purple spring flowers to add colors and a spring feel and to complete it all, our real lovely engaged couple Jessica and Ron. Finally, to perfect our Southern country theme, Jessica wore her southern country boots.
