We are going to whisk you away right now and take you on an stunning escape to lush green vineyards, blue skies and the fresh sunny outdoors. The next three lovely outdoor affairs we will feature next on Love Wed Bliss all take place in breathtaking vineyards. You couldn’t ask for a more romantic and beautiful setting for a wedding than acres of green fields, glorious sunshine and the rustic charm of a country winery. So let’s get started with our mini line-up of weddings and wineries! First up is a pretty Canadian winery wedding photographed by Drew Gregory. The picturesque Summer Hill Pyramid Winery in Kelowna British Columbia sets the stage for this fun-filled affair and a pretty orange colour palette keeps the vibe upbeat against warm rustic tones. Newly weds, Nick and Heidi are so smitten with each other, you can’t help but feel their love and happiness bounce off the computer screen. I love how (in this instance), it’s groom Nick who shares their love story (below) and thoughts about their special day. Don’t you just love a guy in touch with his romantic side? – Heidi you’re a very lucky girl!
From the Groom: Heidi was born and raised in Calgary. We met at Enterprise while Heidi was renting a car from her brother in law. 8 months later was the first date and the rest is history. We choose Kelowna for our wedding spot because we wanted a destination feel and we both love the lake and wine so the winery had all those wrapped into one. Didn’t have too many DIY elements, though we did have a polaroid guestbook which made it fun for the guests and fun for us to look back on instead of just looking at signatures. When setting a budget always set it a little higher to have some extra cash cause in the end there is always a hidden cost or something costs more than expected. We enjoyed the trips out to Kelowna to plan the wedding, it was nice to have the quality time for the 2 of us to share in the planning stages. Favorite event of the day would def be the first meeting on the dock by the water. It was nice to have the intimate time to share how we felt seeing each other for the first time. No major advice but to just soak up every moment of the day cause it goes by so fast. Savour every moment!!
