Wow is all I can say regarding the new Vera Wang Spring Collection for 2012. In fact, I really do think I have died and gone to wedding dress heaven. Vera’s latest line up of wedding gowns are is nothing short of delicious with a color palette full of soft, dreamy and delectable shades. From soft cremes to warm lattes and blushing pinks to contemporary charcoals and elegant greys. Why stick to a white wedding gown when you can walk down the aisle in one of these shades? I have to say Miss Wang is one very talented lady who just keeps raising the standard in wedding couture and a creative magician when it comes to manipulating those stunning fabrics. Any-hoo, here are some of my fav’s from the collection (actually, I think it is nearly all of them). You might want to make sure you’re sitting down and just remember to keep breathing ok?
A soft mint green gown – heavenly!
Stunning swirls of latte.

Monique Lhuillier’s Wedding Dress collection is usually a highlight for so many in the wedding industry, and true to form, she did not disappoint at this years 2011 New York Bridal Week. If you happen to be a fan of her Bliss range, then hold on to your hats, because you’re about to be blown away with her new Spring collection!
Her new bridal collection features stunningly feminine gowns full of gorgeous modern detailing and ethereal loveliness. Standouts of her show included lace corseted bodices, full textured skirts, floral appliques and heaven set blush colored wedding gowns. Monique also took inspiration from Kate Middleton and designed a Royal Wedding dress fit for a princess.
Here some of more of my favorites, I’d love to hear which one’s are yours. . .
Inspired by the royal wedding the traditional “Catherine” wedding gown (on left) features elegant long sleeves and a high neck in antique style lace. The royal inspiration continues in Monique’s collection with full length veils and trains with floral detailing.
Monique Lhuillier short wedding dresses add a fresh appeal for the modern flirty bride. The “Ballet” dress (on right), features a drop waist embroidered lace corseted bodice and gorgeous flounce tulle skirt.
I’m totally in love with these blush colored wedding dresses. Firstly, the “Candy” tulle gown (on left) is purely divine with embroidered bodice and feminine pretty details. On the right is the luscious “Peony” bridal gown – romantic, soft and pretty just like the flower itself.
More of my blush favorites included this contemporary “Flutter” gown (on left) with lingerie bodice and full degrade embroidered organza skirt. The overall effect was sweet and feathery without being too ‘over the top.’ Then just to continue keeping us breathless this drop-dead vision of layered tulle is the “Amber” gown (on right). Note the lovely slim satin belt which gives the perfect contrast to the beautiful bodice.
Monique has raised the length on the trumpet skirt silhouettes for her 2012 Spring Collection. Here you can see her “Poppy” gown (on left) with detailed bodice and the more understated “Simplicity” gown.
Which one would you walk down the aisle in?
