Love the shade of mint? Then feast your eyes on this lovely inspiration shoot from Jessica Connery Photography. It’s perfect if you’re planning to infuse green into your wedding day, but don’t want to go overboard. With subtle tones of mint, pink and sprinkles of gold, it proves that green can still be the hero of the day without overpowering your whole pretty palette. Perfect for a summer or spring wedding – it’s the perfect balance of elegantly feminine and refreshingly cool.
From the photographer: Simplicity was key for us in designing this pretty Summer/Spring shoot. We wanted it to incorporate glitter and sequinned elements in a summery garden setting. Choosing three colors – blush, mint, and gold within the pastel family – we focused on delicate and elegant details accented with gold. We featured a real life couple who just had their one year anniversary and still looked at each other like the day they were married.
The table was set with a satin mint colored linen and topped with a sheer featuring shimmering strands of gold. It was anchored by a grand candelabra floral centerpiece incorporating spring blooms of blush and white roses, white hydrangeas, rich green succulents and dangling mosses. Simple mercury glass votives and blush glass vases sat alongside a couple of sweet paper maché birds. Simple gold chargers were the resting place for china featuring delicate floral pattern highlighted by gold cutlery, ivory floral napkins, and paper menu. Gold chivari chairs were adorned with delicate strands of satin, grosgrain, and sparkly ribbons to bring a decidedly whimsical and spring like quality to the setting. Our invitation suite which included invitations and RSVP cards, seating cards, paper menu, and table number was created using blush, gold, and pastel mints with a graceful floral design.
The bride donned an Allure gown with an asymmetrically rouched bodice and deep v neckline. To complete the look we pulled in a gold satin ribbon tied around her waist and topped it with a sparkling rhinestone bridal belt from Belts by Marital Bridals. Belt and veil were be found at LA Bridal Boutique.

Inspired this week by the the glitz of Hollywood and The Oscars, I’ve put together this inspiration board combining an elegant mix of black, white and gold wedding colors. When you add the shimmer of old gold to a black and white palette you instantly elevate the look and to a wedding theme with sophisticated elegance. This combination would go beautifully with an art deco inspired event, an elegant ballroom wedding or vintage glam cocktail party. What do you think?

Today’s inspiration board combines the coolness of seafoam green with the vibrancy of poppy red. Seafoam is beautiful fresh shade of green that has been around for decades. It works well as a neutral shade highlighted with bolder colours, but really makes a statement when combined with warm bright tones like red, coral and pink. It also beautifully complements organic and handmade wedding details. Many stylists use seafoam for beach weddings, which of course suits the beachy feel perfectly; however I do think it’s versatility for weddings goes way beyond that. Another popular choice for this combo is retro wedding themes, but in contrast I decided to go with a modern, relaxed wedding theme to show this pretty palette’s versatile style. What do you think? Would you consider using seafoam and poppy for your wedding palette?

We all know that pastel and soft pinks tend to be a popular colour choice at weddings, but how about adding some interest to the palette by combining it with a shade of mint green. It’s such a soothing colour scheme . . . the soft mint green keeps everything cool and contemporary against the romantic and classic pale pink. I love these colours accented against crisp white linens, milk vases and delicate lace or crystal details. For this gorgeous gelato-coloured combo, think of a Spring wedding brimming with flowers, a pretty garden soiree under a billowing white marquee or a stylish afternoon affair at the country club estate.
