Red and Ivory Vintage Wedding Style

It’s another gorgeous week of wedding inspiration here at Love Wed Bliss with this elegant red and ivory vintage wedding style shoot by Jim Vetter Photography. It seems you can’t go wrong when you combine classic Audrey Hepburn style with vintage accessories and sophisticated tableware. Infuse a pop of red with a beautiful rose bouquet and you’ve got yourself one stunning vintage look.

Red and Ivory Vintage Wedding Style

Photographer Jim shares the inspiration: I love Amy-Jo Tatum’s classic designs which harken back to Audrey Hepburn days. These styles just seems so well suited to the deco feel of the Hotel Shattuck Plaza in Berkeley, California and it really turned out well with a great team of vendors. The ballroom set features the designs of Tamiko Garner of All Thing Simple and the lighting designs of DJ Jason Mitchell. They layered a contemporary finish onto the classic lines of the gorgeous Shattuck Ballroom. Laura Urbina and the rest of the Shattuck staff were a great pleasure to work with. The Bridal Suite settings were really driven by the beautiful interior designs of the suite provided by the Shattuck. If only every wedding day began in such a suite! The bedroom provided large windows and French doors by which to light our stunning bride. And of course the lavish king bed gave us the perfect way to complete the shoot.

Vintage Glam Barn Wedding Inspiration

Ever since my initiation into the world of barn weddings I have become totally smitten with a gorgeous barn bash. It’s something about the country location, warm rustic features and oh-so-pretty and glamorous details, that gets me hook line and sinker!  And the same goes for this fabulous inspiration shoot sent over by Rachel McNamara Photography. With vintage glam style that includes a tea length wedding dress, patent red shoes and gorgeous diamante accessories. Elegant decor such as vintage glassware and candelabras, mixed with rustic touches, and a gorgeous couple (who by the way, are married!), you have the all the ideas you need to turn a country barn party into a stylish vintage inspired soiree!

From the photographer:  From the red shoes, to the red lips, 3/4 length dress with white gloves, to the rustic charm of the table and place settings, this styled shoot, held at the Oaks Vineyard in Clovis, California, was everything we hoped it would be. Amy Jaye of Posh and Posy Events designed the look of the shoot, with red and pink florals mixed with succulents, rose glass candle holders, and brass candleabras. The table settings featured mixed vintage glassware with burlap table runners and a rustic wood table made by the owners of 3 oaks vineyard themselves! Our models were a real life married couple, who’s chemistry was unmistakable.

Boho Chic Wedding Ideas

We fell in love with every bit of this boho chic inspiration shoot by Petula Pea Photography the instant we saw it.  The subtle and soft pretty pastel palette, the breezy outdoor setting and the eclectic mix of vintage mismatched decor are absolutely dreamy. The decadent petal style wedding cake, the country rustic touches and the beautiful boho headpieces really make a boho chic theme simply irresistible. But the stand-out detail for me, is the gorgeous bohemian style gown by D’Marie Couture – simply stunning! There are so many fab ideas in this shoot to take in, your wedding inspiration meter will be in hippie-pretty overdrive once you reach the end!

From the Event Co-ordinator: A boho chic bride is inspired by nature, loves spending time outdoors, enjoys the simple things in life, and has a free spirit admired by others. The boho chic bride steers away from the traditional style of wedding dress. Instead, she opts for a flowing, lightweight gown with a great neckline (like the halter style featured with a single fabric rose replacing flashy embellishments).

A beautiful headpiece is a must for the bohemian bride. You can add touch of sparkle to a floral headband for a modern twist; or for a more classic boho look, wearing a long flowery headpiece is perfect. {Just like the floral headpiece featured in this shoot. An original by Whichgoose, worn by photographer Patty, on her own wedding day in 2009}.

Rustic, vintage furniture pairs beautifully with boho chic style. The hand-built doorway is an original ceremony backdrop and signifies an opening to a new adventure. The weathered nightstand is a great contrast against the delicate rose petal cake, and the drawers and shelves filled with trinkets represent family heirlooms.

Mismatched chairs are a fun way to mix-up the guest tables and using vintage picture frames to display table numbers gives the tables a creative touch. We added layers of textures and colors to the table for dimension, along with patterned plates and mismatched glasses to compliment the outdoor canvas. Lastly, low floral arrangements of various heights were added to create a soft, romantic look without overdoing it.

Enjoying a relaxing Sunday and some lovely weekend weather? Well, hold on because your day is about to get a whole lot more LOVELY! This Victorian inspired bridal shoot by Alexia Wardell Photography was originally created for a cake company, but with two gorgeous sisters modelling their own wedding gowns, it soon became a beautiful garden bridal session. With pretty vintage styling, Victorian style gowns and some amazing glam makeup, it truly it is overflowing with pretty!Victorian Inspired Bridal MakeupVictorian Inspired BridalVictorian Inspired Garden Wedding PropsVictorian Inspired Bridal IdeasVictorian Inspired CupcakesVictorian Inspired Wedding CakeVictorian Inspired Garden Wedding ShootVictorian Inspired Bridal GownVictorian Inspired Bridal Shoot

From the photographer: This shoot was put together for a new cake company to feature in a Bridal show. It ended up being a fantastic experience. We used two models who are sisters and have been married for 6 years. Both of the girls got to put their own wedding dresses back on and feel like princesses for the day. Afterwards they told us ‘it was the most fun they had had in a long time.’  They were able to relive their wedding day all over again, only this time without the stress. They also loved how they got to enjoy the experience together. Because of this shoot, we have decided to start offering “group” Bridal sessions, not only for newlyweds, but also for those who have been married for quite some time.

Marie Antoinette Inspired Photoshoot by Christina Gressianu

Decadence and opulence are words which immediately come to mind when I think of Marie Antoinette. This teenage French Queen – famous for her beauty and expensive lifestyle – has today become a symbol of wanton extravagance inspiring artists from all over the world. Just like this fabulous team headed up by creative photographer Christina Gressianu. Filled to the brim with gold embellishments, Victorian styling and a gorgeous array of cakes, this Marie Antoinette photoshoot is the epitome of over-the-top beauty and definitely fit for a princess!

From Christina: Living in Colorado from New York City, I occasionally crave the opulence I frequently brushed up against there. While the nature here is magnificent, early this year I began having ideas about a girl surrounded by wealth, gold and frills. A girl who was completely unimpressed with the grandeur around her. And so I thought of Marie Antoinette. In the height of Versailles’ wealth, she preferred to play in the grass with her dogs. This series of photographs came from that vision in my mind, and from a desire to make the pictures I saw in my head real in the world. I feel deep gratitude for the amazing team who worked with me to bring the Marie in my mind out to Fort Collins! I am so fortunate these talented people were inspired by my ideas. They went above and beyond anything I could have expected. Thank you.

Tea Party Wedding Theme Inspiration

I think I know why every woman loves a tea party…it’s because the little girl inside of us all loves the idea of dressing up in a pretty frock, surrounding herself with beautiful things, and relaxing and giggling with her best buddies. It also gives us a great excuse to indulge in yummy sweet delicacies too! Either way, a tea party for your wedding theme or bridal shower is an absolute winner in my books and this whimsical tea party shoot beautifully designed by Samantha Dapper and perfectly captured by Alyssa Marie Photography proves my point. With it’s vintage styling, sunlit garden setting and pretty pastel palette, it has just the inspiration you need to begin styling your tea party wedding from pretty tip to pretty toe!

1950s Inspired E Session by Gambol Photography

Inspired by the 1950s this creatively crafted engagement session is vintage gold. We are talking awesome details which include a classic vintage car, bright bold colours and wonderful vintage wardrobe and styling all staged in the perfect historical location. Gambol Photography captured all the nostalgia behind this E session and every image is bursting with old world glam.

Photographer Megan shares: Jen and Jesse’s shoot is a playful mix of vintage, romance, whimsy and most of all, FUN! When Jennifer, a planner, first came to me about shooting her and her new fiance, Jesse’s wedding, she had a very distinct vision as to how she wanted their special day to turn out. Likewise, when it came to creating ideas for their engagement session, she attacked it with the same intense preparation and stunning creativity. Jen is, through and through, a DIY bride. Almost all the “vendors”  used for their engagement shoot were simply online bidding sites or stores and fantastic details like her amazing polka-dot dress and Jesse’s awesome bowtie, which made their session a DIY masterpiece. The precious pair are UNC Chapel Hill alumni, so it was only fitting that their sweet E session take place in the heart of their alma mater. The Carolina Inn served as the gorgeous backdrop for their 50’s-inspired scene, and the campus landmarks filled in the gaps with their history and sophistication.  These 2 were such a blessing to work with; their genuine adoration for each other and their unique ebb-and-flow chemistry truly showcases how crazy they are about each other, and how perfect a pair they make. And when you find two individuals who are not afraid to show their love and quirks, then that element of their relationship absolutely shines through in their images.
